Redmi, a Xiaomi sub-brand, has launched a new budget smartphone series. The Redmi 11 Prime 5G is the company's most affordable 5G smartphone in India. Redmi also introduced a 4G variant of its new low-cost smartphone. Both phones are powered by a MediaTek processor.

Xiaomi has included a 22.5W fast charger in the box. The phone is powered by a Dimensity 700 SoC, which is an entry-level 5G processor.
It has a single speaker, a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a fingerprint scanner on the side. The phone comes pre-installed with Android 12-based MIUI 13. The 11 Prime 5G weighs approximately 200 grams and measures 8.9mm in thickness.

In India, Xiaomi has released the 11 Prime 5G with two storage options. The base 4GB + 64GB model costs Rs 13,999, while the 6GB + 128GB variant costs Rs 15,999. Cardholders of ICICI Bank can get a Rs 1,000 discount on the purchase of the 11 Prime 5G. The phone will be available beginning September 9 through Mi.com, Mi Home Stores, and other retailers.

The 11 Prime 4G has a 6.58-inch Full HD+ LCD display with a water-drop notch and a refresh rate of 90Hz. On the back of the phone, there are three cameras. A 50MP main camera, a 2MP macro camera, and a 2MP depth sensor are included.

The 11 Prime 4G has an 8MP front camera for selfies. The device has a 5000 mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging. It is powered by a MediaTek Helio G99 SoC and has up to 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. Out of the box, the device runs Android 12-based MIUI 13.
The 11 Prime 4G is priced at Rs 12,999 with a 4GB + 64GB storage option. The 6GB + 128GB variant costs Rs 14,999. The sale will be announced shortly.
