Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered

Marvel's Spider-Man series, which was previously exclusive to the PlayStation platform, is now coming to PC. Insomniac Games is bringing both Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered and Spider-Man: Miles Morales to PC soon, as revealed in last night's State of Play.

Insomniac Games confirmed a slew of new PC-specific features coming to the game in a PlayStation Blog post, including adjustable render settings, ray-traced reflections, and much more to be announced later.

Both games will be developed and fully optimised for PC by Insomniac in collaboration with Nixxes. Spider-Man: Remastered is set to release on PC on August 12, 2022, with Miles Morales following later in the fall. The series will join other great once-exclusive PC titles such as Death Stranding, Horizon Zero Dawn, and God of War.

Spider-Man Remastered Release Date for PC Announced

The PC version of Marvel's Spider-Man will also include the "The City That Never Sleeps" DLC, which includes three additional story chapters with Peter Parker as the protagonist, as well as new missions and challenges. The game will be released on PC on August 12, 2022, and it is expected to be a big hit with PC players.

Insomniac Games has also confirmed that as of May 15, 2022 – Marvel's Spider-Man series has sold over 33 million copies worldwide, making it one of Sony's most successful first-party titles. PlayStation has been focusing on bringing more first-party titles to PC, and given the success of games like Death Stranding, God of War, and especially Horizon Zero Dawn on the platform – SIE plans to bring a lot more to the table in the near future.

Both games are technical powerhouses that can take advantage of powerful hardware on PC, so the PC fanbase will likely embrace the series with open arms. The more interesting question is whether the game's controls and swinging mechanics translate well to a mouse-and-keyboard setup.
