Jwalant Gangwar, the game's director, responded when we contacted SuperGaming for comment regarding these comparisons to Apex Legends.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Review

“We’re extremely delighted that our game is being compared to Apex Legends. Respawn Entertainment is a huge source of inspiration for all of us on the team. Since the game will be available for PC, consoles, iOS, and Android in addition to those platforms, Indus is arguably SuperGaming's most ambitious undertaking to date. The studio also published concept art for weapon skins, specifically for SMGs:

MaskGun and Silly Royale, two of the studio's earlier games, share aesthetics with other well-known games, but Gangwar emphasizes that the finished products—just like Indus—were released with their own unique identities and gameplay.

The gameplay footage that was shown is still in development, so it will be interesting to see how the final product turns out. The game's 2022 release date is still in place.
