Xiaomi 12S with 12GB RAM Listed on Geekbench, Could Launch Soon

The Xiaomi 12S series, the successor to the Xiaomi 12 series, is expected to launch later this year as the next-generation flagship device. The Xiaomi 12 series currently includes three devices: the Xiaomi 12 Pro, the Xiaomi 12, and the Xiaomi 12X.

The Xiaomi 12S Pro was confirmed to exist last month via a Weibo post from a popular tipster, and a few weeks ago, the Xiaomi 12S Pro was spotted on the 3C website, revealing the charging speed. The vanilla Xiaomi 12S smartphone has now been spotted on the geekbench website, revealing information such as the phone's processor, RAM, operating system, and more. Xiaomi 12S Listed on Geekbench: Check Out Details

The upcoming Xiaomi device with the model number "2206123SC" has been discovered on the Geekbench database. This is the Xiaomi 12S, which will almost certainly be released alongside the Xiaomi 12S Pro in the coming days.

According to the specifications, the device will be powered by an octa-core chipset with four cores clocked at 2.02 GHz, three cores clocked at 2.75GHz, and one prime core clocked at 3.19Hz. This is the newly announced Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset with Adreno 730 GPU.

According to the listing, the device will have 12GB of RAM, but we can expect the company to offer multiple RAM and storage options. In terms of software, the device will run Android 12, which is expected to be based on MIUI 13 out of the box. On the benchmarking test, the device scored 1328 in the single-core test and 4234 in the multi-core test.

The charging speed of the device was previously revealed on the 3C website. The upcoming Xiaomi 12S is expected to have the same 67W fast charging speed as the Xiaomi 12S Pro. Aside from that, the Xiaomi 12S is expected to have a 120Hz AMOLED display, a 50MP main camera, and there is also speculation that the 12S series will bear Leica branding, as the company recently announced a partnership with Leica. Because the device has already received a few certifications, we can anticipate Xiaomi launching the 12S series in China and eventually bringing them to the global market.
