Poco, the smartphone brand that has been undercutting bigger brands, is preparing to launch its much-anticipated Poco F4 5G globally, including in India. The smartphone is not a secret because the company has teased it and the specifications have leaked online.

We've also seen a teaser on the company's official social media profiles and on Flipkart, its partner e-commerce website. In case you missed it, the Poco F4 5G will be the company's second smartphone in the F-series, following the F3 GT series. These will join Poco's existing smartphone lineups in India, which include the M, X, and C series.

Poco fans all over the world won't have to wait long because the F4 5G will be released on June 23, 2022. The launch event will be live-streamed on the company's official YouTube channel, and all the details will be available on Poco's Twitter account. The launch event will begin at 5:30 PM IST.

Poco F4 5G Expected Price in India

For the time being, the Poco F4 5G price in India is unknown. Based on previous launches and the price segment in which Poco has aggressively pushed its smartphones, it is not surprising that the Poco F4 5G will once again target the sub-Rs 30,000 mark, possibly competing against the Realme X series or even the Xiaomi 11 series.

According to India Today Tech, the smartphone is expected to cost less than Rs 30,000 in the country. It could be in the same price range as the Poco F3 GT, which was launched at Rs 28,999 and went up to Rs 31,999 depending on variant.

Poco F4 5G Expected Sale Date

Poco has not yet stated when the device will be available for purchase in India or other countries. The official website and e-commerce site say nothing more than 'coming soon.' We expect the Poco F4 5G to go on sale in a week, with pre-orders beginning tomorrow, immediately following the event.

Since the Povo F4 5G will be launched globally on June 23, few specifications have been launched. While some of the specifications were recently confirmed by the company as part of the teaser, others came from online tipsters, giving us a good idea of what to expect. Here are some of the key features to look forward to.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC

This has recently been confirmed by Poco. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC will power the Poco F4 5G. The 7nm octa-core chipset has been available since January of last year. Based on the processor's capabilities, one can expect 5G support, Wi-Fi 6, Adreno 650 GPU, and a CPU clock speed of up to 3.2GHz. To keep things cool, the Poco F4 5G will use Liquidcool 2.0 technology, which is a cooling system with a 3112 mm square vapour chamber and a 7-layer graphite sheet.

Up to 12GB LPDDR5 Memory

Poco is taking advantage of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC's support for LPDDR5 RAM and will offer the F4 5G in variants with up to 12GB RAM. This will be combined with 256GB of storage via UFS 3.1 technology. This essentially means that videos and other content will load faster, as will game titles.

120Hz AMOLED Display

The Poco F4 5G is expected to have a 6.67-inch 4th-generation E4 Super AMOLED display panel with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a touch sampling rate of 260Hz. MEMC Tech support is also available, as is a small punch hole camera cutout at the top-center position for the selfie camera. You also get Dolby Vision support and a color gamut that is 100% DCI-P3.

64MP Pro-grade OIS Rear Camera

This is also one of the Poco F4 5G's highlights. The smartphone will feature a 64MP Pro-grade rear camera with Optical Image Stabilisation. According to the company, it will also include Portrait Mode, Movie frame mode, and HDR mode. At the back, there will be two more sensors.

Other Expected Specifications and Features

The company has also revealed some additional details about the Poco F4 5G. The smartphone will be available in two color options: blue and black, with no official names yet. The company has also confirmed the presence of a 4500mAh battery with 67W Turbo Charging capability. It can charge the phone to 50% in 11 minutes. Along with the previously mentioned Dolby Vision and AMOLED screen, Poco also includes Dolby Atmos audio support.
