Vivo is preparing to launch the Y35 4G. On August 11, the new Y-series smartphone will be available in Malaysia. The Vivo Y16, another smartphone in the Y-series, is also expected to be launched very soon. The device will be a low-cost smartphone with 4G network support.
The phone's official launch date has yet to be announced by Vivo. A new report by Appuals has revealed the Y16's design renders and specifications ahead of the official confirmation. According to the report, the phone has a dual-camera setup on the back. It has a flat frame with curved corners. The Vivo Y16 4G has already received FCC and Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification, indicating that it will be available soon. The phone will be available in two colors: black and gold. It will have a flat frame with slightly rounded corners. On the back, there is a dual-camera setup. The 13MP primary camera and a 2MP secondary sensor are housed in two large cutouts on the camera module. A LED flash module is also included. The phone will support a variety of camera features, including live photos, time-lapse, face beauty, and Pro mode.
A 6.51-inch IPS LCD is located on the front of the device. The front camera is housed in a tiny waterdrop notch at the top of the screen. It will have a 720 x 1600 pixel HD+ resolution. A standard 60Hz refresh rate display will also be supported by the screen. The phone will have a 5MP front camera for selfies and video calls.

The Y16 is powered by a MediaTek Helio G35 SoC. It will be available with 4GB of RAM and 64GB/ 128GB of internal storage at launch. The phone will have a microSD card slot for storage expansion. It will also include Extended RAM 2.0, Multi Turbo 2.2, and Ultra Game Mode.
A 5000 mAh battery will be housed inside. The phone will be able to charge at 10W through a USB Type-C port. It has a fingerprint scanner on the side, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a dual-SIM slot, and other features. The Y16 ships with Android 12-based Funtouch OS 12. It weighs 183 grams and measures 163.95 x 75.55 x 8.19mm.
