ASUS launched the ROG Phone 7 series in India. At the moment, the new ROG Phone 7 line consists of two smartphones. There's the ROG Phone 7 Ultimate, which rests above the standard ROG Phone 7. The main difference between the two phones is that the Ultimate Edition has more RAM and storage beneath the hood. It also features the ROG Vision PMOLED display on the back, which supports customized graphics for various scenarios such as receiving calls, playing a game, entering X-Mode, and so on.

The new AeroActive Portal 7, which works with the AeroActive Cooler 7, is also supported on the Ultimate model. Let's look at the ASUS ROG Phone 7, ROG Phone 7 Ultimate price in India, specifications, and other information that was provided at the event.

ASUS ROG Phone 7, ROG Phone 7 Ultimate Price in India and Specifications 

The ASUS ROG Phone 7 and ROG Phone 7 Ultimate are two new gaming flagship smartphones that have been launched with cutting-edge hardware. The ROG Phone 7 comes with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage space. The price is Rs 74,999. In comparison, the ROG Phone 7 Ultimate has 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The cost is Rs 99,999.

The ROG Phone 7 Ultimate is only available in Storm White. Phantom Black and Storm White will be the colors available for the vanilla model.

The ROG Phone 7 series will be available in India starting in May through Vijay Sales.

The ROG Phone 7 and 7 Ultimate are powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC with a top clock speed of 3.2GHz. There includes an Adreno 740 GPU, up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and UFS 4.0 storage. Asus claims that the ROG Phone 7 series has an AnTuTu score of 1,360,082 points, which is second only to the Red Magic 8 Pro+'s score of 1,308,126 points.

The ROG Phone 7 series includes an AirTrigger system and ultrasonic buttons for a better gaming experience, allowing users to map up to 14 separate touch areas on the screen at the same time. 

The phones have a 6.78-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a resolution of 2448 x 1080 and HDR10+ certification on the front. The screen supports a refresh rate of 165Hz and a touch sampling rate of 720Hz. Up to 1500 nits of peak brightness are supported, as is a DCI-P3 color gamut and a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.

For the first time in the ROG Phone series, the phones have an IP54 rating. The ROG Phone 7 series has a triple-camera system on the back. The main camera sensor is a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor, alongside a 13MP ultra-wide camera and an 8MP macro shooter.

The front camera sensor on the devices is 32MP. Both phones are equipped with Dirac HD Sound dual speakers. Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, two USB Type-C ports (one on the bottom and one on the side), a 3.5mm headphone connector, and other features are supported. 

The ROG Phone 7 and ROG Phone 7 Ultimate come with a 6000mAh battery that supports 65W rapid charging. The gadgets will come with a 30W PD 3.0 charger. Both gadgets weigh around 239 grams and have dimensions of 173 x 77 x 10.3 mm.

Accessories and Features

The ROG Phone 7 series ships with Android 13 and the option to switch between the unique ROG UI and Zen UI skins on top. The former has been substantially customized and enables various gaming features that work in tandem with the hardware. Both models will receive two major Android updates as well as four years of security support.

The game phones include a GameCool 7 cooling system, which claims to reduce temperatures by up to 10 degrees. The technology includes the newly redesigned ROG Rapid-Cycle Vapour Chamber and large graphite sheets, which assist in the transfer of heat evenly across the device.

There is also a new AeroActive Cooler 7. When connected to the phone via the side-mounted connector, the AeroActive Cooler 7 can reduce the temperature by up to 25 degrees.

When linked to the phone, the new device also functions as a Subwoofer. It also has a built-in Thermoelectric AI Cooling System, a USB Type-C connection, and a 3.5mm headphone jack on the bottom.

AeroActive Cooler 7 enables X Mode+, an enhanced version of the already exceptional performance mode that unleashes the full power of the system while gaming or doing other heavy work. The system also includes Dynamic Mode (for optimal daily performance), Ultra-durable Mode, and Advanced Mode. (customizable mode for adjusting network, display, performance & touch settings).

ROG Phone 7 includes compatibility with ASUS' Armoury Crate, the company's site for further customizing the experience.

Other accessories supported by the ROG Phone 7 series include the ROG Clip (an accessory that includes three different mounts for attaching the phone on top of the PS4 controller, Xbox Controller 3, or Stadia controller), a professional dock (a port expansion accessory that allows the ROG Phone 7 to connect to an HDMI display and two USB devices), Kunai 3 GamePad, AeroActive Cooler 6, Aero Case Bumper, and others.
